Coming Back to the Heart of Worship
I felt this morning that I was coming back to the heart of worship. God is so wonderful and has given me such grace beyond what I could ever fathom; more than I ever deserve. How then shall I serve thee my Lord? Let all praise, glory, and honor be given to You. You continually work in our lives and all around us – blessing us, teaching us, showing us your ways, loving us, disciplining us, using us to help others…
This morning my eyes befell upon Psalm 92.
Verses 1-8:
“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. How great are your works, O Lord, how profound your thoughts! The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed.
But you, Oh Lord, are exalted forever.”
Even if we don’t praise His name, the rocks shall cry out. In Psalm 93 the seas have lifted up their voice and waves to the great Lord on high. Holiness adorns the Lord’s house for endless days (vs.5).
